Frequently Asked Questions
CalmTracking requires an iPhone X or later with a TrueDepth front-facing camera. iPad is not supported. The app requires iOS 18.0 or newer.
Two visible changes and several invisible ones:
- Level 2 is now a Box Breathing pattern: the ball traces a square in a 4-4-4-4 rhythm (inhale, hold, exhale, hold). Try syncing your breath to it.
- All advertising and tracking has been removed. The app is now genuinely free and self-contained.
- Behind the scenes, gaze tracking and difficulty scaling work better across different iPhone screen sizes.
The front-facing camera is used to track your gaze direction in real time using ARKit. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded or transmitted.
Make sure you are in a well-lit environment and holding the phone at a comfortable distance (about 30-40 cm). The tracking calibrates itself as you play - accuracy improves after the first few seconds.
No. The app requires the iPhone's built-in TrueDepth camera, which is not available on iPad models without Face ID or through external cameras.
No. As of version 1.1, CalmTracking is completely free with no advertising and no in-app purchases. No third-party SDKs are bundled with the app, and no analytics or tracking data leaves your device.
See our Privacy Policy for full details. In short: the camera feed stays on your device, no personal information is collected, and no third-party service receives any data. The app makes no network requests during normal use.
